While life on Galveston Island is always exciting, we are ecstatic to see the cruise ships return to port with itineraries to the Caribbean and beyond. Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Vista and Carnival Breeze have already set sail and will be joined by sister ship, the Carnival Dream, in October. In August, Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas made its departure for Mexico and Honduras followed by Liberty of the Seas in September and Adventure of the Seas in October. For the kickoff of holiday season in November, Galveston welcomes back the Disney Wonder where she makes way for Key West, Florida and the Bahamas.
If you intend to sail the seas this year after more than a year at dry dock, make sure to add in a day or two to take in all that Galveston Island has to offer. There are many beautiful resorts and beach-view hotels to make your stay extra comfortable. Stop by Salt Water Gift Shop for the island’s 411. We can lead you to some of the best restaurants, bars and shops as well as outfit you with all your beach and fun-in-the-sun needs. Just cruise on over to our Seawall location near 17th street.
